Ontario Diagnostic Centres(ODC) provide Pulmonary Function services in Mississauga, Etobicoke and Oakville. Pulmonary Function studies are breathing tests that assist your doctor in diagnosing, evaluating, treating and following up numerous respiratory, cardiopulmonary and associated conditions. At our Etobicoke site we have a state of the art computerized pulmonary function unit. A respiratory therapist will guide you in performing the tests. You will be breathing in and out, through your mouth into a machine that in the end produces a report of graphs and numbers of how you breath. Depending on what tests have been ordered, a visit may take from half an hour to one hour. The tests are interpreted by board certified respirologists and the interpreted results sent to your referring physician.
